Teaching

Teaching has been Rene's passion since he began music directing for theater companies in high school. Since then Rene has been a counselor at various summer programs, such as the Butler Community Arts School's summer programs, as well as Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp. Rene is currently teaching voice lessons through the Butler Community Arts School.

Songs of Resistance: A Pedagogical Approach to the AIDS Quilt Songbook

Rene was recently selected as a scholar for the Butler Summer Institute for research for his project in voice literature. A complete guide and analysis of the songbook and upcoming poster presentations will soon be posted here
